Grate cooler is an important equipment in clinker burning system of cement plant. Its main function is to cool and transport cement clinker; At the same time, it provides heating air for rotary kiln and calciner, which is the main equipment for heat recovery of firing system.

Grate cooler is a kind of quench cooler. After the clinker enters the cooler from the kiln, a certain thickness of material layer is paved on the grate plate. The cold air blown in passes through the moving material layer on the grate bed in a mutually perpendicular direction to quench the clinker. The clinker can be quenched from 1300-1400 ℃ to below 100 ℃ in a few minutes.

The traditional grate cooler is divided into three types: rotary type, vibrating type and push type. However, since the first two types have been eliminated, the push grate cooler has become the main type of cement clinker cooler for the decomposition kiln outside the kiln. The grate bed is the main component of the cooler, and the push grate plate is composed of fixed grate plates and movable grate plates arranged at intervals in rows.

Briquette swing support cooler is another innovative technology, which introduces hydraulic transmission system, clinker roller crusher, wear-free briquette swing support system (CSS) and side end direct air supply technology.
